Hearing the word “lace” may conjure up images of frilly and fancy frocks, but the material that first made it’s appearance in the late 15th century, is now back on the fashion scene with a colorful splash (in nearly every color of the rainbow, no less!). No longer relegated to basic black or white, countless designers are finding ways to work it into their collections (so that you can partake in the trend without looking like an extra on the set of Downton Abbey).
The key is to be adventurous with the cuts and colors of the pieces in question, and keep the styling and accessories classic to provide just the right balance.
Here are a few options that I particularly love and would wear abandon — depending on the depth of my ever-changing mood.
